About the Role
The radiologic technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-ray and CT scans, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. They provide patient-centered care by explaining procedures, ensuring safety, and maintaining comfort.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray and CT procedures accurately and efficiently
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and clear communication throughout procedures
- Verify patient details and prepare for examinations
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, regulatory, and organizational policies
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to support patient diagnosis and treatment
- Operate imaging equipment safely and adhere to radiation safety standards
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program
- Minimum of 2 years of diagnostic imaging and CT experience (expertise in emergency, pediatric, and orthopedic exams preferred)
- ARRT registration in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT)
- Registration with SCRQSA
- Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Ability to produce high-quality images with minimal supervision and work effectively in a team
- Knowledge of age-specific imaging criteria and safety protocols
