About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase and maintain inventory levels of our celebrations products in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising and organizing product displays, managing inventory, and providing support to retail store associates.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets involving minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
• Work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including weekends and major holiday periods
• Physical ability to work on the sales floor and backstock room, including pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, standing, walking, stooping, squatting, and using a stepstool

Pay & Schedule

The starting pay is $14.00 per hour, with increases to $14.80 after 6 months and $15.50 after 1 year. Flexible work scheduling is offered. 401(k) with company match is provided.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 6 hours, with potential increases to 13 hours around holidays. Ideal candidates should be available during daytime hours, particularly Monday mornings, and can work additional days and extended hours leading up to and following major holidays.
