About the role
American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our product offerings in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising and organizing product displays, maintaining inventory levels, and providing support to retail store associates.
Responsibilities
- Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
- Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
- Maintain an organized backroom area
- Other inventory tasks as needed
- Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
- Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
- Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
- Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested
- Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
- Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Access to reliable transportation and internet
- Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
- Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods
- Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, squat, and use a stepstool
Qualifications
- No prior experience necessary, as training will be provided

Pay
The starting pay is $17.10 per hour, with increases to $18.10 after 6 months and $19.00 after 1 year of employment. Pay rates may vary based on work location.
Schedule
The weekly average hours are 9 hours per week, with potential increases to 21 hours per week around holidays. Ideal candidates should be available during daytime hours, particularly Monday mornings, and can work additional days and extended hours leading up to and following major holidays.
