Part Time Merchandiser - Salisbury MD

Pay

• Starting pay: $15.30 per hour with two increases during the first year of employment (rates subject to change based on work location)
• After 6 months: $16.20 per hour
• After 1 year: $17.00 per hour

Route & Schedule

• Service the following retail locations:
  • 409 N FRUITLAND BLVD, SALISBURY, MD, 21801-7201
  • 206 N FRUITLAND BLVD, FRUITLAND, MD, 21826
  • 304 W MAIN ST, FRUITLAND, MD, 21826
  • 31621 EDEN ALLEN ROAD, EDEN, MD, 21822
• Weekly average hours: 10 hours per week
• Weekly hours may increase to an average of 15 hours per week around holidays
• Ideal candidate available during daytime hours and specifically Monday mornings due to store needs and service

Primary Responsibilities

• Service stores on assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain organized backroom areas and perform other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management any questions or concerns regarding service or schedules
• Work in a fast-paced retail environment utilizing effective time management and organizational skills
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime retail business hours
• Availability for additional working days and extended hours leading up to and immediately following major holidays
• Provide occasional assistance with store resets which may include minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload in assigned stores, utilizing a company-issued tablet
• Work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation (routes have multiple retail locations)
• Access to reliable internet to receive critical job information and updates
• Technological competency—able to learn and use company-provided tablet for training and daily activities/tasks
• Meet scheduling needs—occasional weekends, the day before and after major holidays as needed (Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas)

Physical Demands

• Work on the sales floor and in the back stock room
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures of up to 40 pounds throughout the sales floor and backrooms
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout the workday
• Stepstool may be used to complete some tasks
