About the role
American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our product in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising and organizing product displays, maintaining inventory levels, and providing customer service.
Responsibilities
- Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
- Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
- Maintain an organized backroom area
- Other inventory tasks as needed
- Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
- Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
- Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
- Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested
- Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Access to reliable transportation and internet
- Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
- Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods
Pay and Schedule
The starting pay is $12.20 per hour with increases after 6 months and 1 year of employment. Flexible work scheduling is offered. The weekly average hours are 6, but may increase to 12 around holidays. Ideal candidates should be available during daytime hours and specifically Monday mornings.
