About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help customers celebrate holidays and special moments by showcasing and managing product inventory in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising, organizing product displays, and maintaining backroom areas.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display products within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets as requested
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
• Work independently and with a team

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including weekends and major holidays
• Physical demands: standing, walking, stooping, squatting, lifting up to 40 pounds, and using a stepstool

Pay and Schedule

The starting pay is $12.60 per hour with increases to $13.30 after 6 months and $14.00 after 1 year. Scheduling varies, with an average of 3 hours per week and potential increases to 7 hours per week around holidays.
