Part Time Merchandiser - Ottawa, OH

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help customers celebrate holidays and special moments by showcasing and managing our product inventory.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary, training provided
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including weekends and major holiday periods

Qualifications

• Physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and using a stepstool

Pay

The starting pay is $13.10 per hour with increases to $13.80 after 6 months and $14.50 after 1 year of employment. Pay rates may vary based on work location.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 8 hours per week, with potential increases to 17 hours per week around holidays. Ideal candidates should be available during daytime hours and specifically Monday mornings.
