About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our celebrations products in retail locations. The role involves merchandising and organizing product displays, maintaining inventory levels, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
• Work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary, training provided
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods

Qualifications

• Physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 40 pounds throughout the workday
• Ability to use a stepstool as needed

Benefits

We offer a starting hourly wage of $21.20 with increases to $22.40 after 6 months and $23.50 after 1 year. We also provide paid training and a 401(k) with company match.

Pay

The starting pay is $21.20 per hour with increases to $22.40 after 6 months and $23.50 after 1 year.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 3 hours per week, which may increase to an average of 7 hours per week around holidays.
