Part Time Merchandiser Needed for Busy Grocery Store

Part-time merchandiser position focused on high-volume frozen products (Red Baron, Bibigo, and others) in Cheyenne.

Schedule

• Every Tuesday: Arrive at store 8:30–9:00 am
  • Work backstock off U-boat into freezer shelves
  • Await delivery of new product (driver arrives 10:00–10:30 am)
  • After check-in, driver places new product (palletized) into backstock freezer
  • Work product from pallet onto store shelves, filling to maximum capacity
  • Organize remaining product onto U-boat(s) and place empty pallet into trailer
  • Dispose of cardboard into baler
  • Typically finish between 11:30 am–12:30 pm (approx. 4 hours max)
• Every Friday: Arrive at store anytime before 9:30 am
  • Work backstock from U-boats built on Tuesday onto store shelves, filling all available items to maximum capacity
  • Dispose of cardboard into baler
  • Typically finish within 1–2 hours
• Every Saturday & Sunday: Repeat same process as Friday
• Additional Task: Write order onto pre-made order sheets and text image of filled-out order sheet for next delivery

Typical time investment: 6–10 hours per week. Some weeks may not require Saturday and/or Sunday visits.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate fully loaded U-boat and hand pallet jack with a full pallet
• Work alongside store staff and other vendors in a professional and courteous manner
• Follow schedule with no supervision
• Listen to store staff regarding store needs and communicate effectively with account manager about promotions, displays, and situations via phone, text, and email
• Dispose of cardboard into baler at the end of each visit

Requirements

• Physically able to safely operate equipment and handle palletized products
• Disciplined, reliable, and able to work independently
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable transportation to and from site
• Grocery merchandising experience highly encouraged

Pay

• Hourly rate starting at $20/hour (higher for relevant experience)
• Flat rate starting at $180/week (higher for relevant experience)
• Option to discuss 1099 contractor arrangement (default to flat rate)
• Compensation evaluated every 30 days to align with time commitments and sales volume
• Pay issued every 2 weeks via direct deposit

This location demands attention, perseverance, and efficiency. Opportunity exists to add 2 additional Cheyenne locations for the same product line based on performance.
