Part Time Merchandiser - Metairie, LA

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our product in various retail locations. The primary responsibility is to merchandise and organize product displays, ensuring inventory levels are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

The starting pay is $12.60 per hour, with increases to $13.30 after 6 months and $14.00 after 1 year of employment. Pay rates may vary based on work location.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 10 hours, which may increase to 20 hours around holidays. Routes service 4500 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, LA, 70006 and 3520 Williams Blvd, Kenner, LA.
