About the role
American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our product in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising and organizing product displays, maintaining inventory levels, and providing support to retail store associates.
Responsibilities
- Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
- Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
- Maintain an organized backroom area
- Other inventory tasks as needed
- Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
- Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
- Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
- Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested
- Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
- Work independently and with a team
Requirements
- No prior experience necessary, training provided
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Access to reliable transportation and internet
- Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
- Meet scheduling needs, including weekends and major holidays
Qualifications
- Physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 40 pounds, and using a stepstool

Pay
The starting pay is $11.70 per hour with increases to $12.40 after 6 months and $13.00 after 1 year of employment. Pay rates may vary based on work location.
Schedule
The weekly average hours are 8 hours per week, which may increase to an average of 15 hours per week around holidays. Ideal candidates should be available during daytime hours and specifically Monday mornings.
