Part Time Merchandiser - Kihei, HI

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help customers celebrate holidays and special moments by showcasing our products in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising and organizing product displays, maintaining inventory levels, and interacting with store associates and management.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
• Work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods

Pay and Schedule

• Starting pay is $17.50 per hour, increasing to $18.60 after 6 months and $19.50 after 1 year of employment
• Weekly average hours are 10, increasing to 16 around holidays
