About the role
American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase and maintain inventory levels of our celebrations products in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising and organizing product orders, displaying items within greeting card departments and other retail locations, and managing backroom areas.
Responsibilities
- Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
- Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
- Maintain an organized backroom area
- Other inventory tasks as needed
- Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
- Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
- Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
- Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
- Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
- Work independently and with a team
Requirements
- No prior experience necessary
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Access to reliable transportation and internet
- Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
- Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends, the day before and after major holidays
Qualifications
- Age 18 or older
- Physical ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 40 pounds, stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout the workday
- Ability to use a stepstool as needed

Pay
The starting pay is $11.70 per hour, with increases to $12.40 after 6 months and $13.00 after 1 year of continued employment. Pay rates may vary based on work location.
Schedule
The weekly average hours are 8 hours, with potential to increase to 18 hours per week around holidays. Ideal candidates should be available during daytime hours and specifically Monday mornings.
