Part Time Merchandiser - Gaylord, MI

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our product in various retail locations. Our goal is to make the world a more thoughtful and caring place by celebrating holidays, each other, and all of life’s special moments.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
• Work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including weekends and major holiday periods

Benefits

Pay

The starting pay is $14.00 per hour, with increases to $14.80 after 6 months and $15.50 after 1 year of employment. Pay rates may vary based on work location.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 7 hours, with potential increases to 17 hours around holidays. Ideal candidates should be available during daytime hours, particularly Monday mornings, and can work weekends and major holidays as needed.
