Part Time Merchandiser - Fort Oglethorpe, GA

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our product in various retail locations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills to ensure inventory levels are maintained and displayed effectively.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
• Work independently and with a team

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends, the day before and after major holidays

Pay and Schedule

• Starting pay is $11.70 per hour with increases to $12.40 after 6 months and $13.00 after 1 year

Physical Demands

• Working on the sales floor and backstock room
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures of up to 40 pounds
• Standing, walking, stooping, and squatting throughout the workday

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 7 hours per week, which may increase to an average of 15 hours per week around holidays. Ideal candidates should be available during daytime hours and specifically Monday mornings.
