Part Time Merchandiser - Findlay, OH

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our celebrations products in various retail locations. The ideal candidate will work independently to manage inventory, display products, and assist with store operations.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including weekends and major holiday periods
• Physical ability to push, pull, lift, and carry merchandise, stoop, and squat throughout the workday

• No prior experience necessary, training provided

Pay & Schedule

The starting pay is $13.10 per hour, increasing to $13.80 after 6 months and $14.50 after 1 year of employment. Flexible work scheduling is offered. We provide paid training and a 401(k) with company match.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 6 hours, potentially increasing to 12 hours around holidays. Ideal candidates should be available during daytime hours, particularly Monday mornings, and can work additional days and extended hours leading up to and following major holidays.
