Part Time Merchandiser - Fairfield, IL

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our celebrations products in various retail locations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills to maintain inventory levels and display products effectively.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
• Work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including weekends and major holiday periods
• Physical abilities to push, pull, lift, and carry merchandise, stoop, and squat throughout the workday
