Part Time Merchandiser - Beloit, WI

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our celebrations products, including greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, plush, and more. This role requires independent work across various retail locations, focusing on merchandising, organizing, and maintaining inventory levels.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
• Work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary, as training will be provided
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods

Qualifications

• Physical demands include pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, standing, walking, stooping, squatting, and using a stepstool
• Ability to work on your own and with a team

Pay and Schedule

The starting pay is $15.30 per hour, with increases to $16.20 after 6 months and $17.00 after 1 year. Flexible work scheduling is offered, along with paid training and a 401(k) with company match. The weekly average hours are 7, but may increase to 15 around holidays. Ideal candidates are available during daytime hours and specifically Monday mornings.

Physical Demands

You will be working on the sales floor and backstock room. You will need to be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures of up to 40 pounds throughout the workday. You will also need to stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout the workday. A stepstool may be used to complete some tasks.
