Part Time Merchandiser - Beaverton, OR

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase and maintain inventory levels of our celebrations products. This role involves merchandising and organizing product orders, displaying items in greeting card departments and other retail locations, and managing backroom areas.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet

Qualifications

• No prior experience necessary, as training will be provided
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Flexible availability for additional working days and extended hours around major holidays

Pay and Schedule

The starting pay is $17.10 per hour, with increases to $18.10 after 6 months and $19.00 after 1 year. Flexible work scheduling is offered. We provide paid training and a 401(k) with company match.

The route services the following retail locations:

• Primary Work location: 6055 SW 185th Ave, Beaverton, OR 97078
• Additional Locations: 5975 SW 185th Ave, Beaverton, OR 97078, 20535 SW Tualatin Valley, 14300 SW Barrows Rd, Tigard, OR

The weekly average hours are 5, with potential to increase to 10 hours around holidays.

Physical Demands

You will be working on the sales floor and backstock room. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 40 pounds, stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout the workday. A stepstool may be used for some tasks.
