Part Time Merchandiser

American Greetings is a global leader in the Celebrations marketplace. As a Merchandiser you will help people celebrate holidays, each other, and life’s special moments by displaying and maintaining inventory of greeting cards, gift‑wrap accessories, party goods, plush items, and more across various retail locations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, merchandising and organizing product orders.
• Display products within greeting‑card departments and other retail areas.
• Maintain organized back‑room areas and perform other inventory tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management about service questions or schedule concerns.
• Work in a fast‑paced retail environment using effective time‑management and organizational skills.
• Partner with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours.
• Provide additional availability for extended hours leading up to and following major holidays.
• Assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal.
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company‑issued tablet.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lb (with or without reasonable accommodation).
• Access to reliable transportation for routes with multiple retail locations.
• Access to reliable internet for receiving critical job information and updates.
• Technological competency – able to learn and use a company‑provided tablet for training and daily tasks.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends and the day before/after major holidays (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas).

Physical Demands

• Work on sales floor and back‑stock room, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 40 lb.
• Stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout the workday; a stepstool may be used for some tasks.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Pay

Starting pay is $13.50 per hour, with two scheduled increases: $14.30 after 6 months and $15.00 after 1 year of continued employment. Rates are subject to change based on work location.

Schedule

The route serves the retail location at 1206 N Canyon Creek Pkwy, Spanish Fork, UT 84660. Average hours are 7 hours per week, increasing to an average of 14 hours per week around holidays. Ideal candidates are available during daytime hours, especially Monday mornings, and can work occasional weekends and extended holiday periods.
