Part Time Merchandiser

About the role

American Greetings is a global leader in the Celebrations marketplace. As a Merchandiser, you help people celebrate holidays, each other, and life’s special moments by making the world a more thoughtful and caring place. You will work independently across various retail locations, displaying and maintaining inventory levels of greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, plush, and more.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain organized backroom areas
• Communicate with management any questions or concerns regarding service or schedules
• Work in a fast‑paced retail environment utilizing effective time management and organizational skills
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Provide occasional assistance with store resets (minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested)
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company‑issued tablet

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Access to reliable transportation (routes have multiple retail locations)
• Access to reliable internet to receive critical job information and updates
• Technological competency – able to learn and use the company‑provided tablet for training and daily tasks
• No prior experience required; training provided
• Meet scheduling needs – occasional weekends, the day before and after major holidays as needed (e.g., Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas)

Pay

• Starting pay: $11.70 per hour
• After 6 months: $12.40 per hour
• After 1 year: $13.00 per hour
• Two increases during the first year of employment (rates subject to change based on work location)

Schedule

• Flexible work scheduling
• Weekly average: 8 hours per week (may increase to an average of 18 hours per week around holidays)
• Ideal candidate available during daytime hours, specifically Monday mornings due to store needs
• Occasional weekends and the day before/after major holidays as needed
• Serves the following locations: 2423 Us Highway 80 W, Dublin, GA, 31021; 2846 Hwy 257; 107 Wyatt Rd; 331 S Jefferson St; 2056 Us Highway 441 S; 1106 Hillcrest Pkwy; 118 Hillcrest Pkwy
