Part-Time Medical Director for OTP

About the role

Part-Time Medical Director opportunity at MedMark Treatment Centers in Savannah, GA. We take a patient-centered approach to opioid addiction treatment, designing individualized plans suited to patient needs. Services include rehabilitation counseling, methadone treatment, physical evaluations, drug screenings, case management, relapse prevention education, after-care planning, and at select locations, methadone detox, buprenorphine maintenance, and group counseling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Physician for MedMark Treatment Centers
• Admit patients for Methadone and Buprenorphine Treatment
• Obtain history and perform physical exams
• Document into the EMR, enter orders for methadone dosing in the EMR or write buprenorphine prescriptions (currently using a waiver for written scripts while transitioning to a new EMR)
• Consistently monitor patient dosages in conjunction with the Treatment Center Director, Counselors, and Dosing Nurses
• Consult on high-risk patients and perform annual medication reviews
• Perform other related duties as determined by supervisor

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in the State of Georgia
• Board Certified in any residency will be considered
• Must be able to interact compassionately with a diverse population
• One year of addiction medicine experience required
• Satisfactory background check and drug screen
