Part Time Meat

Cub Foods in Plymouth (Rockford Road at Nathan Lane) is seeking a dedicated part-time Meat Team Member.

Responsibilities

• Maintain meat and seafood cases
• Perform meat and seafood cutting, wrapping, and preparation
• Clean and sanitize equipment, cases, work area, and sales floor
• Assist customers with product locations and suggestions
• Answer department phone calls and respond or refer as appropriate
• Assist in ordering and receiving meat and seafood shipments

Requirements

• Operate equipment including meat slicer, scale, intercom, telephone, racks, calculator, forklift, meat grinder, cuber, bulker, meat mixer, patty machine, tenderizer, pressure washer, etc.
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
• Memorization, reading, writing, and math skills
• On-going customer interaction with prompt, courteous, and accurate service
• Good judgment for times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
• Write identifying information and request supplies verbally or in writing
• Work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs
• Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, repetitive motions
• Exposure to hot equipment and cooking oil

Pay

UNFI anticipates paying a competitive rate within an established pay range for this position. Actual pay will depend on factors including education, experience, training, and requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
