Part Time Maintenance Tech I - Los Pueblos de Socorro

About the role

Fairway Management, a key division of JES Holdings, manages over 250 apartment communities and single-family rental subdivisions. The Maintenance Tech I position supports the day-to-day operations and provides exceptional service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Complete and assist with daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on-call after hours.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Conduct unit turns in a timely manner including painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning as needed.
• Must be willing to assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Must be able to pick up supplies from area vendors as needed while legally operating a registered and properly insured vehicle.
• Reports to Property Manager, Regional Manager, and Maintenance Superintendent for all delegated tasks.
• Travel to and participate in both regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, vendors, and other staff members.
• Make the manager aware of any health and safety concerns on site.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed and approved.
• Must be eager to train and learn company systems, engage in training programs on HVAC, safety training, and be engaged in HUD and LIHTC maintenance standard training, State inspection / INSPIRE.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Entry-level, 0 to 2 years of basic maintenance experience in residential, multifamily, commercial, hotel maintenance, or related experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Basic experience in carpentry, drywall repair, painting, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, building operating systems for door entry or fire suppression, etc., or general building maintenance.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position including lifting a minimum of 55 lbs, working in enclosed spaces such as attics and crawl spaces, working outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
