Part Time LPN Evening Shift
Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth at the Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center in Downtown Nashville, right next to the Tennessee Titans stadium. We provide a safe, supportive environment for at-risk youth aged 12-18, offering education, counseling, medical, and recreation services.
About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a key member of the medical team, providing general health care for students within the scope of your license. This includes administering immunizations, assisting with TB screenings, flu vaccines, and overall health maintenance for students and staff. You will also train employees on health care topics such as prevention of sports injuries, bloodborne pathogens, CPR, First Aid, and behavioral disorders. Additionally, you will assist in ordering medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide general health care for youth within the scope of an LPN license
- Administer immunizations, TB screenings, and flu vaccines
- Assist in maintaining the overall health of students and staff
- Train employees on health care topics (e.g., sports injury prevention, bloodborne pathogens, CPR, First Aid, behavioral disorders)
- Order medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current Licensed Practical Nursing Credential from the state of employment
- Minimum of two years of medical services administration experience
- Demonstrated experience in operating and securing comprehensive health services programs
- Empathetic, patient, and respectful demeanor
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
Pay
$30–$34 per hour
