Part Time Load Builder Operator

About the role

Join Vestis as a Part-Time Production Associate in an industrial laundry facility. This role involves safe, efficient, and accurate handling of merchandise, supporting the operations that keep businesses running smoothly. No prior experience is required—paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with load sheets (by route, by day) and build loads one day ahead.
• Follow load-building guidance, including lining carts with clean cardboard and loading products in order based on weight, size, type, and other specifications.
• Identify and segregate mats that do not meet quality standards due to stains, rips, tears, holes, or moisture.
• Monitor merchandise that fails to meet specified quality standards.
• Safely maneuver full and empty carts, adhering to safety standards for pushing and pulling loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Report shortages to supervisors every two to four increments based on market center reporting processes.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following best practices in all production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to understand all required training, including written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following the day’s production plan.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule; work is based on a shift schedule and may include weekends.
• Overtime may be required as needed.

Working Environment

• Work is performed in a warehouse setting with exposure to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise.

• Requires frequent lifting and carrying of products weighing up to 20 lbs.
• Requires moving, pushing, or maneuvering carts weighing up to 300 lbs.
• Involves bending, reaching, twisting, pulling, and pressing above shoulder level and below the waist.
• Requires the use of hands, wrists, and arms for grasping and other manipulations.
• Requires standing and walking for long periods of time.

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $19.29.

Schedule

• Part-time, flexible shifts designed to work around school or other commitments.
• Shift hours: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday (no weekends).
• Weekly pay; Daily Pay available at select locations.
