Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse - Behavioral Health Urgent Care

About the Role

Merakey is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Behavioral Health Urgent Care team in Philadelphia, PA. This role supports clinical operations, providing essential medical and nursing care to individuals experiencing behavioral health urgent needs under the supervision of a CRNP and in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

The Behavioral Health Urgent Care is a walk-in center for adults in need of same-day, non-emergency mental health and substance use care. The center aims to reduce avoidable visits to crisis centers and emergency rooms by offering triage, resolution-focused services, and aftercare planning to prepare individuals for long-term recovery and connection to ongoing care. Services are provided regardless of income or insurance status.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical screenings and biometric assessments.
• Draw blood for labs and administer medications under the direction of a CRNP or prescriber.
• Coordinate prescription authorizations and manage medication-related tasks.
• Participate in care coordination and aftercare planning.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Handle crises calmly and efficiently while providing compassionate care.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
• Current state LPN license and registration.
• Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in behavioral health, urgent care, or a similar environment.
• Familiarity with medical screenings, biometric assessments, and vital signs monitoring.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with individuals and colleagues.
• Detail-oriented and organized approach to maintaining records and documentation.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle crises efficiently.

Schedule

Part-Time, Every Other Weekend: Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM.

Pay

$37.51 per hour.
