About the role
East Elementary is seeking a Part-Time Library Paraprofessional to work 15 hours per week. This position will remain open until filled.
The Library Paraprofessional, under the direction of the school principal, assists classroom teachers in maintaining appropriate classroom activities and environment so students may learn effectively. The role provides instructional support to students and student groups, performs a variety of instructional and classroom management tasks, and handles related data and clerical duties to support teachers and professional staff.
Responsibilities
- Provides instructional support assistance to students and student groups.
- Participates in the development, maintenance, and execution of systems for classroom management.
- Guides students in working and interacting harmoniously with others.
- Operates office equipment such as computers, copy machines, etc.
- Complies with established district policies and procedures.
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and job performance is required.
Requirements
- Basic computer knowledge, familiarity with Google Docs, and frequent email checking.
- Willingness to learn and use all computer systems and software as needed.
