Part-Time Library Assistant II - North Cobb

Responsibilities

• Supports teen and makerspace programs
• Maintains a welcoming and organized teen space
• Care and maintenance of the community garden
• Helps patrons use creative technologies and equipment

Requirements

• Works 18 hours per week, including some nights and weekends, plus an additional 4 hours (from 1:00-5:00pm) on scheduled Sundays at West Cobb Regional Library

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is required; supplemented by one year of experience in customer service or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using makerspace equipment such as Cricut cutting machines, 3D printers, laser cutters, sewing equipment and more.
• Experience providing service to teens.
• Experience developing and implementing programs.

Physical Abilities

• Exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work
• May involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds)
• Extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation

Environmental Factors

• No exposure to adverse environmental conditions
