Part Time Level I Special Education Paraprofessional

Iron County School District is seeking a Part-Time Level I Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team and help make a difference in the lives of students and families in the community. This position supports families in developing college and career readiness by building knowledge, skills, and relationships for all students.

About the role

This part-time position at Parowan High School works 27.5 hours per week under the direction of a Special Education Teacher. The paraprofessional provides education services and support to students with disabilities, helping implement specialized instructional accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional support to students and student groups to reinforce and follow up on learning activities.
• Assists in observing and recording behavior patterns, reinforcing acceptable behavior using appropriate techniques.
• Supports certified educators with the presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.
• Participates in developing, maintaining, and carrying out systems for classroom management.
• Guides students in working and interacting harmoniously with peers.
• Supervises students in all areas of the school, including monitoring inside and outside the building during lunch hour.
• Operates office equipment such as computers and copy machines.
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and job performance are required.

Schedule

27.5 hours per week. This position will remain open until filled.
