About the role
The USC School of Architecture invites applicants for a part-time studio instruction position for an interdisciplinary architecture, landscape architecture, and heritage conservation studio course.
Responsibilities
- Engage graduate and undergraduate architecture and landscape architecture students in site analysis and design at multiple scales, from master planning to detailed design.
- Incorporate heritage conservation in the analytical and design readings, assignments, and project work.
- Translate site design, community heritage, and context into the preservation and design of cultural or institutional campuses with multiple structures and complex programs.
Requirements
- A Master of Architecture degree or equivalent degree is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of combined professional and teaching experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience in an accredited architecture program.
- The ability to teach software, advanced media, or graphic communication as part of the course curriculum.
Skills
- Proven track record of professional work in this area.
Benefits
Compensation and rank to be commensurate with experience. The core salary range for this position is $50.75 - $75 per hour. This is a part-time, 30% position.
