About the role
The General Studies Program in the College of Arts and Sciences serves returning adult learners who have prior college credits and wish to complete a degree. All students in the program must take GNST303 Introduction to General Studies and the capstone course GNST401; they may also elect GNST305 Prior Learning Assessment for work‑experience credit. The program is distinct from the university’s General Education requirements.
Responsibilities
- Teach GNST303 Introduction to General Studies (asynchronous online)
- Teach GNST401 capstone course (asynchronous online) as needed
Requirements
- Hold an M.A. degree completed by the time of appointment
- Degree must be in a discipline housed within UofL’s College of Arts and Sciences or College of Education and Human Development
Qualifications
- Demonstrable commitment to online instruction
- Experience or interest in working with returning adult learners
Schedule
