Part-Time Lecturer (Bassoon)

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Teach applied bassoon to a studio of undergraduate and graduate music majors and minors.
• Teach the bassoon secondary instrument class (for music education majors).
• Recruit new students.
• Perform/teach at various department events and with various faculty ensembles.
• Teach or assist in other academic areas as determined by the candidate's expertise.

Minimum Qualifications

• A Master of Music degree or equivalent (preferably in bassoon performance).
• Significant applied teaching experience.
• An established record as a professional performing artist.

Preferred Qualifications

• College or university teaching experience.
