About the role

The Leasing Consultant plays a crucial role in welcoming prospective residents, coordinating tours, and responding to inquiries about leasing. This position involves interacting with current residents regarding day-to-day issues and coordinating lease renewals. The Leasing Consultant serves as a central point of communication between the community, management, and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the welcoming first point of contact for all residents, prospects, and visitors to the community
  • To effectively lease apartments and sell property's products and services in accordance with budget
  • To ensure Fair Housing Standards in all matters when working with prospects and residents
  • To follow up on leasing traffic entries and monitor traffic trends
  • To maintain thorough product knowledge of the property and major competition
  • To assist with marketing activities to position Bell communities as communities of choice
  • To coordinate the resident application review in accordance with Bell guidelines
  • To complete lease packets and files for each resident, including the lease, all addendums, and other forms
  • To regularly attend and be punctual
  • To properly document and follow up with residents throughout the lease
  • To receive and address resident inquiries, complaints, or issues and provide timely follow-up

Requirements

  • Understanding of and alignment with Bell Core Values
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years’ customer service experience, preferably in a hospitality or apartment leasing role
  • Support of BAL strategic drivers
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a professional image
  • Ability to work on a team or in a team environment
  • Resourcefulness and organizational skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good decision-making skills and knowledge of how businesses work

Qualifications

  • Physical requirements: Walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 30 lbs., ability to work with mechanical and electrical equipment, and comfortable with heights and moving heavy objects

Pay

  • Hourly: $20.00 - $22.00
  • Incentive compensation opportunities are available and are performance-based
