Part-Time Lead Sales Associate

About the role

This position functions as a Cashier and/or Stocker, with leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. The role involves maintaining store displays, stocking merchandise, and assisting customers to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks, process incoming merchandise, and stock shelves following company procedures
• Assist in implementing and maintaining plan-o-grams and displays
• Provide exceptional customer service by helping locate merchandise and greeting customers
• Operate cash register, handle transactions, and manage cash drawer, ensuring accuracy and security
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, including floors, restrooms, and stockrooms
• Support store setup, such as sidewalk displays, and ensure a safe shopping environment
• In the absence of management, authorize refunds, oversee cash handling, monitor security cameras, and complete necessary documentation

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a cash register and handle monetary transactions accurately
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to assist and greet customers effectively
• Experience with stocking, merchandising, and maintaining store displays
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Capable of performing cleaning and safety procedures to uphold store standards
• Leadership qualities to act in a supervisory capacity when needed
