Part-Time Lead Sales Associate

About the role

This position serves as a Cashier and/or Stocker, acting in a lead capacity when the Store Manager or Assistant Manager are unavailable. Key responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, maintaining plan‑o‑grams, assisting customers, operating cash registers, and ensuring a clean, organized, and safe store environment. The role also involves overseeing cash handling, authorizing refunds, monitoring security, and completing necessary documentation.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise per store procedures
• Implement and maintain plan‑o‑grams and displays
• Assist customers with locating products and provide exemplary service
• Operate cash registers, handle transactions, and bag items
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards
• Support opening and closing procedures, including cash accountability
• In the absence of management, authorize refunds, oversee cash processes, and monitor security

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong mathematical and cash handling skills
• Knowledge of safety policies and store procedures
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read plan‑o‑grams and organize merchandise
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; supervisory experience beneficial
