About the Role

The Part‑Time Delivery Driver is responsible for safely operating a refrigerated box truck and delivering fresh floral products to customers throughout the Scranton/Wilkes‑Barre region and surrounding areas. This role plays a key part in ensuring on‑time delivery, maintaining product quality, and providing an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 16‑foot refrigerated box truck to complete assigned delivery routes.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of fresh flowers and floral products to customers within a 125‑mile radius of the Scranton/Wilkes‑Barre area.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service while building positive customer relationships.
• Load and unload products while maintaining product quality and organization.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Follow assigned routes and use GPS/navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and DOT regulations.

Physical Requirements

• Work in a warehouse and refrigerated cooler environment (approximately 34°F).
• Lift, carry, and move products up to 60 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing in and out of a box truck, and extended driving periods.
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 2+ years of professional driving experience operating commercial vehicles (16‑foot box trucks or larger preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT Medical Certification (CDL not required).
• Acceptable driving record (reviewed periodically).
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 60 pounds.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Effective use of GPS and navigation tools for route management.
• Strong time management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Dependable, hardworking, and team‑oriented approach.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment screenings.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected hourly rate is listed in the posting; actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Employees may be eligible to participate in a quarterly safety incentive program with the opportunity to earn up to $1,500 annually. This is a part‑time position and is not eligible for company‑sponsored benefits.

Schedule

• Part‑time schedule; Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays required.
• Start time: 3:00 AM until route completion.
• Provides coverage for vacations, employee call‑outs, and seasonal volume increases; schedules based on operational needs.
• Local travel required throughout the Scranton/Wilkes‑Barre region and surrounding delivery areas.

On‑site role based out of our Wilkes‑Barre, PA distribution facility.
