Essential Responsibilities
- Welcome members to TowneBank, determine the nature of their business, and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
- Operate the department’s or branch’s main telephone switchboard and assist callers by transferring them to the appropriate party or taking messages from the caller.
- Become familiar with TowneBank’s locations, hours, telephone numbers, and individuals so that routine questions can be answered with ease.
- Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
- Aid the branch or department team with a variety of day-to-day duties as requested.
- Aid with copy projects.
- Display a professional appearance and behavior.
- Adhere to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Minimum Required Skills & Competencies
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent telephone skills.
Desired Skills & Competencies
- Computer experience (Word and Excel).
Physical Requirements
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
- Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
