Responsibilities
- Perform all process CP, CCP, QP, and CQP checks required for the position.
- Follow reaction plans for Food Safety, Food Quality, and customer requirement deviations.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and good housekeeping guidelines.
- Follow safety guidelines, OSHA requirements, and wear personal protective equipment.
- Identify and understand customer requirements.
- Maintain satisfactory attendance and be willing to work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime as needed.
- Demonstrate teamwork and compliance with plant policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in meetings.
- Utilize Process Excellence tools to improve plant performance and complete specific projects as directed by Department Team Leaders.
- Engage in P.E. and SPS tools and support PE initiatives.
- Perform duties as required by plant leadership to ensure efficient and effective operation of production processes, including:
- Operate Clean in Place (CIP) systems for specific equipment.
- Perform cleaning and sanitizing of casting, processing, and packaging equipment using hand tools, power sprayers, rinsing units, and sanitation chemicals.
- Read, understand, and follow the Master Sanitation Schedule and maintain sanitation records as needed.
- Perform final sanitation inspection and sanitize equipment prior to start-up.
- Practice time and task management, managing multiple priorities.
- Inventory, stock, and replenish sanitation supplies.
- Handle special cleaning projects as assigned.
- Create work orders as needed to repair or replace damaged equipment.
- Use TMP and QIP systems.
- Attend and complete chemical safety training; demonstrate ability to find and understand MSDS information.
- Clean and sanitize one or more of the following areas: Belts, Blending, CIP, Clean and Grind, Cooker, Cooler Dock, COP Tank, Palletizer Dock, Wrapper areas.
- Maintain an absenteeism rate of 65 points or less, with a commendable or better record in teamwork and overall job performance, and no disciplinary action.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to read and comprehend written or verbal instructions.
- Ability to operate power cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
- Willingness to learn new process systems as they evolve.
- Physically capable of performing moderate to heavy lifting.
- Able to work in wet and humid conditions.
- English speaking/reading requirement for positions that require comprehension of the English language.

Pay
Production 01B ($18.51 - $21.94 base wage) with a 24-month progression.
