Part-Time Janitor(s)

About the role

Introduction The Janitor will maintain the cleanliness of the LNK Airport Terminal and other Lincoln Airport Authority facilities as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cleaning and disinfecting duties.
• Ensure all supplies and essentials are stocked.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
• Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position.
• Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities may be assigned at any time.

Requirements

• Lift and/or move up to 50lbs. utilizing safe and proper lifting techniques and equipment.
• Safely climb in and out of trucks, and up and down stairs and ladders.
• Ability to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, and walk.
• Specific vision abilities required, such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Endure various work environment factors, including climatic temperature extremes such as cold, hot, wet, and/or humid conditions, and moving mechanical parts/equipment.
• Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment will be provided by the Lincoln Airport Authority.
• Adherence to standards established in the LAA Employee Handbook, Airport Rules and Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures, and all other established safety requirements applicable to the position is required.
• A majority of the work will be performed indoors with the general public.
• The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The Employee is required to meet the above essential functions, skills, etc.
• The employee must be at least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of pre-employment reference check, criminal history check (required by the Transportation Security Administration), physical assessment, drug screening, MVR (motor vehicle report), and other requirements as per Lincoln Airport Authority policy.
• Any associated costs for the screenings will be covered by the Lincoln Airport Authority.
• The employee must possess, when hired, and maintain a valid State of Nebraska driver’s license while employed, and be insurable under normal rates.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred

Pay

Starting Rate of Pay: $20.17 Per Hour

Schedule

Schedule Options: Saturday & Sunday, 11:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. Additional Shifts may be available to pick up as needed.
