Part-Time J.D. Application Reviewer - Penn State Dickinson Law - Admissions Office
The Penn State Dickinson Law Admissions Office is seeking a part-time, remote J.D. application reviewer.
- Responsibilities include: Reviewing and writing summaries on applications to Penn State Dickinson Law’s Juris Doctor program; Using holistic evaluation methods to make a comprehensive assessment of each candidate; Understanding institutional objectives and making recommendations in support of such; Providing feedback on relevant aspects of applications; Keeping accurate notes and file management in the application management database; Selecting an admit, waitlist, or deny recommendation for each applicant; Other duties as required.
Preferred qualifications include: Experience reviewing admission applications and making recommendations or rendering decisions; A Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school is not required but would be helpful; Thorough knowledge of admissions best practices; Excellent judgment, discretion, organization, time-management and communication skills; Advanced knowledge of proper grammar and attention to detail; Excellent critical thinking and reading comprehension skills; A quiet and secure work environment which protects the confidentiality of applicants’ information is required.
Training will be provided.
