Part Time Inventory Field Technician

About the role

The Inventory Technician at the Deerfield location is responsible for assessing, coding, documenting, and storing all products used in Curion tests, including Central Location Tests (CLTs), Home Use Tests (HUTs), and Focus Groups. This role involves collaboration with the Facility Leadership Team, procurement technicians, and project managers to manage test products and ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Unpack, assess, and process incoming product shipments from clients, offsite vendors, or other Curion facilities.
  • Assess, review, and process products procured locally by Curion procurement technicians.
  • Perform product inspection to ensure quality and accuracy, confirming product received vs. product expected.
  • Take package photos and upload them to the i:drive for Project Manager (PM) review, following Curion Product Photo SOP guidelines.
  • Label and store products, working closely with the facility team to document storage locations.
  • Complete inventory sheets (including all columns and relevant details) and notify PMs in Asana once the document is complete.
  • Add UPC codes to the RedJade testing program.
  • Communicate in Asana with PMs and procurement technicians, sharing updates, collaborating on product arrival status, and addressing potential roadblocks proactively.
  • Review the Curion calendar and track deliveries to anticipate incoming shipments.
  • Track cold storage space use and communicate potential space issues to the facility team.
  • Manage HUT prep by preparing packing materials and coding/blinding products as required.
  • Work closely with the Facility Director, Testing Operations Manager, Test Supervisors, Procurement Technicians, and PMs to meet inventory deadlines as outlined in the Curion Inventory SOPs.
  • Perform other field tech/kitchen tasks as assigned by the Facility Leadership Team.

Qualifications

  • Clear and professional verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively while meeting deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adjust to last-minute schedule changes and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strict adherence to client confidentiality.
  • Ability to analyze, understand, and/or calculate varying product serving amounts or package sizes.
  • ServSafe certification required within the first 30 days of employment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, lift, kneel, or walk for most of the shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to enter details into spreadsheets with accuracy.
  • Ability to operate a camera and upload images to a computer.

Pay

Starting pay rate range of $17.00–$18.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Schedule

This is a part-time, non-exempt position subject to overtime compensation.
