Part Time Intern, Budget & Finance

The Intern supports the department by performing task-oriented duties while providing administrative and operational support.

• Performs entry-level accounting duties such as journal entries, expense report auditing, travel authorizations, and coordinating correspondence
• Inputs, updates, and maintains data in organizational databases ensuring the accuracy and integrity of information
• Provides accounting support during month-end and year-end close processes
• Aids in the planning, execution, and completion of projects, which may include researching discrepancies, compiling financial data, and preparing reports
• Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:

• Familiarity with office software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in performing tasks
• Ability to work well in a team, contributing positively to team dynamics and outcomes
• Ability to exhibit professionalism in conduct, punctuality, and adherence to workplace expectations and policies

Physical Abilities:

• The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile.
• No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

Work Schedule And Conditions:

• Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
• Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
• Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

Required Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Salary:

Hourly Pay Rate is $16.33.
