Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience, ensuring a fast, friendly checkout.
• Helps oversee daily activities of all store associates, ensuring effective duties and excellent service.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock to quickly place items on the sales floor.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and urgent issues.
• Occasionally manages opening or closing the store, including securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and preparing for smooth daily operation.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates, teaching store policies, product knowledge, and operational procedures.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Partners with the store leadership team in merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Performs store maintenance such as taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining the stock room.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi‑task and think creatively.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate cash register, computer, hand‑held, phone, walkie, and mobile devices.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lb and place/remove items up to 5‑10 ft high.
• Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Communicate with customers face‑to‑face and by telephone, and exchange accurate information with managers and coworkers.
• Move across the sales floor assisting customers and traveling between sales floor and stock room.
• Work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including days, evenings, weekends, and possible overnight shifts and travel.
• Interpret email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for approximately 80 % of the time.

Pay

Hourly position starting at $17.50.
