Part-time Instructor (Pool) - Healthcare Administration

Austin Peay State University is currently seeking part-time, temporary, adjunct instructors in the area of Healthcare Administration.

About the role

The Department of Health & Human Performance serves approximately 600 majors in five undergraduate concentrations: Applied Exercise Science, Health, Public Health Care Management, Human Movement, and K-12 Teaching. In addition, approximately 60 students are in the Master of Science program: Sport and Wellness Leadership; Public Health Education; and Master of Healthcare Administration. Salary is based on course load and determined by the department.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Health Care Economics, Health Care Finance, Strategic Planning and Policy, or Public Health Law.
• Participate in departmental activities and contribute to the academic community.

Requirements

• Expertise in Health Care Economics, Health Care Finance, Strategic Planning and Policy, or Public Health Law.
• A master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience teaching at the college level.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Skills

• Excellent teaching abilities.
• Knowledge of current healthcare trends and issues.
