Job Summary

The Department of Natural Sciences invites qualified candidates to join the part-time instructor pool in Chemistry. Appointments are made on an as-needed basis each semester, depending on departmental requirements. This is a pool posting for potential openings in the School of Arts & Sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Teach lecture and/or laboratory Chemistry courses as assigned.
  • Prepare course materials, including lesson plans, quizzes, exams, and lectures.
  • Maintain office hours and provide timely feedback to students.
  • Submit attendance records, grades, and required academic reports by deadlines.
  • Ensure adherence to college policies and academic quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • M.S. in Chemistry or a related discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in Chemistry.
  • Demonstrated successful teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven college-level teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

Conditions of Employment

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Employment is contingent upon: Background investigation and criminal background check, Verification of credentials and prior employment, Compliance with federal and state regulations and Board of Regents policies.
