Job Summary
The Department of Natural Sciences invites qualified candidates to join the part-time instructor pool in Chemistry. Appointments are made on an as-needed basis each semester, depending on departmental requirements. This is a pool posting for potential openings in the School of Arts & Sciences.
Responsibilities
- Teach lecture and/or laboratory Chemistry courses as assigned.
- Prepare course materials, including lesson plans, quizzes, exams, and lectures.
- Maintain office hours and provide timely feedback to students.
- Submit attendance records, grades, and required academic reports by deadlines.
- Ensure adherence to college policies and academic quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- M.S. in Chemistry or a related discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in Chemistry.
- Demonstrated successful teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven college-level teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
Conditions of Employment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Employment is contingent upon: Background investigation and criminal background check, Verification of credentials and prior employment, Compliance with federal and state regulations and Board of Regents policies.
