Part-time Instructor/Assistant Professor of Psychology

About the Role

The Psychology Department at Southwestern University seeks a Part-time Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach one section of Principles of Psychology (introductory survey course) in the fall 2026 semester. The section of approximately 30 students will be taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-3:45pm and must include 1-2 additional office hours on campus each week.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, with a Ph.D. preferred.
• Demonstrated teaching experience.

Pay

$4,200 per course (Ph.D. in-hand by August 1) or $3,900 per course (Master’s degree in-hand by August 1). Non-benefitted position.

Schedule

• Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30-3:45pm.
• 1-2 additional office hours on campus each week.
