Part-time Instructional Assistant - Child and Career Development Center

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associates degree or higher OR completion of two years of post-secondary education OR 48 credit hours from an accredited college or university preferred
• Experience with special needs population preferred
• Experience working with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Current police, child abuse, and FBI fingerprint clearances required
• Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assisting in the implementation of a basic skills program or educational programming
• Performing duties as directed by the educational consultant or classroom teacher
• Individual tutoring or one-on-one support for a student with special needs
• Some lifting may be required
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team in an educational setting
• Physical intervention with students in crisis will be required

Pay

The IA pay scale is broken down below for you to reference.

• 0 - 9 yrs experience = $19.38
• 10 - 13 yrs experience = $21.29
• 14 - 17 yrs experience = $23.19
• 18 - 25 yrs experience = $25.11
• Bachelor's degree is equivalent to 9 yrs experience on the scale = $19.38
• Master's degree is equivalent to 15 yrs experience on the scale = $23.19
