Responsibilities
- Serve as front-line contact for assigned accounts and assist Sales with quotation preparation, purchase order entry, and order status.
- Receive and process customer purchase orders including the review of technical, commercial, quality, packaging and shipping requirements to ensure alignment with quoted scope of work, Dover terms and Dover trade compliance policies.
- Manage customer complaints and returns as required and ensure customer follow-ups from supporting departments are timely and complete.
- Review historical prices and costs; apply pricing methodologies to create commercial positions to assist Sales.
- Participate in team management of workload to achieve department targets and ensure speed of response to customers.
- Demonstrate initiative to understand Company’s products, services and processes to drive development of solutions to reduce waste and improve speed.
- Initiate and manage the New Customer Setup process with Dover Business Systems, Finance and Trade Compliance.
- Support requests to clear credit limits to release shipments.
- Provide support to order execution team to clarify with customer any technical, commercial or logistical questions.
- Support miscellaneous requests from customer, Sales and other departments on an as needed basis.
Requirements
- A minimum of four years’ experience in a customer service role supporting the sale of manufactured goods.
- Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.

- Engineering, technical, machining and/or manufacturing background.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Demonstrated customer service aptitude with proven ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Experience with large scale ERP systems.
