About the role

Part-time AM shift for an Infant/Toddler Teacher in Lexington, NC. Embrace the philosophy of Cadence Education as part of the teaching team to foster a positive learning environment. Document and share children’s daily milestones with parents, collaborate on curriculum implementation, and enhance children’s play with developmentally appropriate language, toys, and activities.

Responsibilities

• Encourage and model social behavior and expectations appropriate for infants/toddlers.
• Share ideas for planning a daily schedule balancing quiet/active, indoor/outdoor, and fine/gross motor activities.
• Respect and observe children’s interests; intervene to maintain safety.
• Collaborate with other teachers to implement an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum.

Requirements

• High level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours.
• Minimum of 6 months previous experience as a preschool teacher or in a licensed daycare.
• Child Development Associate or college degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
